Pioneers had a school supply event partnering with the Coalition for the Homeless.  Pioneers stuffed 450 backpacks with school supplies that were given to these kids at a fun summer day camp event.  These 450 kids living in shelters out east on LI had a fun day at the Dorothy Flynn 4H camp. After the day of fun, they will be given the opportunity to pick out all new school clothes and shoes for school, donated by various businesses on LI.

The Long Island Bombers are dedicated to educating the community about blindness.  Through the game of beep baseball, we provide blind and visually impaired athletes the opportunity to play the game and offer a support network to its members.  It is the Bomber’s goal to expand educational clinics, speaking engagements and demonstrations throughout the entire region.

The Paumanok Chapter provided the ball caps which have “New Vision Pioneers” on the back.   Pioneers are pictured with the LI Bombers.
