Mother Goose at Presbyterian Nursery School

On May 11, 2011, Robert Roth, Dorothy and Dominick Schiavone presented “Mother Goose Reads” program at the Presbyterian Church Nursery School. Twenty five books were presented to the very happy children. The teachers enjoyed the program also.

 

Suffolk Council / Freeport Toys for Tots
Winter 2011

Under the direction of Eileen Anglim from Telecom Pioneers Suffolk Council the Great River CSSC residential sales and service office kicked off a Toy Drive benefitting the Freeport Toys for Tots program. Broken up into teams, Eileen ran a contest in the office giving out a little gift for the team that contributed the most toys.

Visited the Commack Garage to Celebrate Pioneer Day on Dec 9, 2011

We served the men and women coffee and donuts as is our tradition, sponsored a membership drive and introduced our literacy projects. A good time was had by all.

 

Dune Planting
On March 9, Charlie Nicolas, Rose and Charlie Kohler, Jean Kohler, and Joan and Jim McGuire of Paumanok Chapter’s South Bay LMC helped plant dune grass at Tobay Beach, LI, NY, to protect the beach from erosion. “We have been doing this for the past 15 years, said Marge Koehler. “It costs us nothing — just a little time and energy. The Town of Oyster Bay appreciates our help so much they provide us with clam chowder afterwards.”

 

Easter Party
On April 9, Hank and Marge Koehler of the South Bay Life Member Club attended an Easter Party at the Marine Base in Garden City L.I., N.Y., where the Paumanok Chapter donated 86 Easter baskets for the dependent children. The children and parents were very grateful for the generous donation.
